Amanah in Islam
Amanah is a Arabic term which means trust. A Muslim should never breach the trust and should not do anything that is not pleasing anything to Allah. You should always take care of rights and dues of others. If anyone given you any kind of responsibility then you should bear it with pure heart and you should never break the trust. You should always be honest in your responsibilities. You should never forcefully takeover the property or money of any person.
You should follow the rules of property inheritance and give the share of every deserving relative.
You should never do injustice with weak, orphan or with women.
Allah says in the Holy Quran (interpretation of the meaning):
“Indeed, We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they ˹all˺ declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But humanity assumed it, ˹for˺ they are truly wrongful ˹to themselves˺ and ignorant ˹of the consequences˺,” – [Quran 33:72]
“O you who believe! Betray not Allah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amanat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allah has ordained for you).” [Al-Anfal 8:27]
